IRVINE, Calif. – Hawai'i Pacific University sophomore pitcher Jordan Curry wrapped up the season with an outstanding week to be honored as the PacWest Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week.
The 6-1 righthander from Farmington, N.M./Farmington saved her best for last as she led the Sharks to wins in both of her starts against BYU-Hawaii and Hawai'i Hilo. She threw a three-hitter and allowed one run in a 3-1 victory over BYU-Hawaii. She tossed a one-hit shutout with five strikeouts in the 4-0 triumph against Hawai'i Hilo, allowing only one baserunner over the final four innings. Curry finished the year 7-7 with a 2.01 ERA and 48 strikeouts.
Joining Curry as PacWest weekly award winners in the final week of the season are Bailey Gaspar of Hawai'i Hilo as Player of the Week and Kali Kitsinis of Chaminade as Freshman of the Week.
The Sharks finished the season at 29-19, 18-14 in PacWest play by sweeping their final five games of the season.
